Join us with author Gabrielle Zevin to discuss the New York Times bestseller and our One Book, One Glendale selection, Tomorrow, and Tomorrow, and Tomorrow. A glorious and immersive novel about two childhood friends, once estranged, who reunite as adults to create video games, finding an intimacy in digital worlds that eludes them in their real lives.   

Author Biography 

GABRIELLE ZEVIN is a New York Times best-selling novelist whose books have been translated into forty languages. Tomorrow, and Tomorrow, and Tomorrow was published by Knopf in July of 2022 and was an instant New York Times Best Seller, a Sunday Times Best Seller, a USA Today Best Seller, a #1 National Indie Best Seller, and a selection of the Tonight Show’s Fallon Book Club. Following a twenty-five-bidder auction, the feature film rights to Tomorrow, and Tomorrow, and Tomorrow were acquired by Temple Hill and Paramount Studios. She is currently writing the screenplay. 

This event will take place at the Glendale Central Library, 2nd floor auditorium. 

Copies of Tomorrow, and Tomorrow, and Tomorrow are available at Glendale Library, Arts & Culture locations, and are also available for purchase from our community partner Once Upon a Time Book Store.  Book signings will follow the presentation.

Join us for a video game party celebrating One Book, One Glendale.  The video game party will take place inside of a state of the art mobile video game theater with modern and retro games.

Join us for a screening of the documentary, Break the Game.  After coming out as a trans woman, world-record-holding gamer, Narcissa Wright loses her massive fanbase. To win them back, she attempts to set a new record in The Legend of Zelda: Breath of the Wild, live-streaming every minute of her quest. Break the Game is a moving exploration of gamer culture, the realities of online harassment, and the mental health implications of living a digital life.
