The City of Glendale has celebrated Día de Los Muertos every year since 2017. This year, the celebration will take place at the Brand Library & Art Center on November 4, from 5:00-8:00 PM.
Join the City of Glendale and Glendale Library, Arts & Culture for the annual Día de Los Muertos festivities.
Day of the Dead or Día de Los Muertos is a Mexican holiday that is celebrated in different parts of the world on November 1st and 2nd. Día de Los Muertos is a colorful celebration of life that reunites the living and the dead. Families build ofrendas to honor and welcome their beloved departed family members.
The City of Glendale has celebrated Día de Los Muertos every year since 2017. This year, the celebration will take place at the Brand Library & Art Center on November 4, from 5:00-8:00 PM.

Sugar skulls are a very important element for the Day of the Dead altars. Join this class to decorate your own sugar skull with icing and sequins for your own altar.

Presented in partnership with the Glendale Library Arts and Culture and the Glendale Latino Association. Join GUSD for our 4th annual speaker series with five weeks of learning from renowned Latinx professionals who serve their communities in different ways. The theme for the 2023 Hispanic Heritage Month is:
Latinos: Driving Prosperity, Power, and Progress in America.
We encourage students grades 5-12 to participate in these webinars to learn and enhance their understanding of Hispanic Heritage.

Riverside Art Museum- The Cheech
The Cheech is a “center of Chicano art, not only for painting, but for sculpture, photography, and video arts.” The 61,420-square-foot center will house hundreds of paintings, drawings, photographs, and sculptures by artists including Patssi Valdez, Sandy Rodriguez, Carlos Almaraz, Frank Romero, and Gilbert “Magú” Luján.
