Join us as we discuss Sung's memoir that delves into intergenerational trauma, inherited wounds, fetishization of Asian females, microaggressions and the struggles of growing up in an immigrant family. Kinda Korean does not shy away from racism and stereotypes that Asian Americans are often reduced to and provides one individual's story in her path to healing, strength, and self-identity. Adults.
Learn Korean Through K-Culture

Learn conversational Korean through K-culture! In this class we will utilize K-Pop lyrics, Korean Drama and movies, Korean landmarks, Korean geography and history to learn the language. Basic Korean reading and writing will be interwoven through the class, but the focus will be conversational. Books will be provided through the Korean Education Center in Los Angeles.
Requirements to Participate:
A basic understanding of Hangul (the Korean alphabet) is required.
Ability to attend all 10 sessions. Classes will take place starting Tuesday, May 12 - July 14 from 6:30PM - 7:45PM

The instructor is a graduate of the Hankuk University of Foreign Studies, holds a Certificate of Korean Language Teacher (issued by the National Institute of the Korean Language, and a teaching certificate issued by the Ministry of Education of the Republic of Korea. Adults.
